Exchange a foreign licence for a Danish licence
The issuing country and your residence in Denmark affect whether and how your licence can be exchanged.
Apply through Borgerservice. They can confirm the documents, translations and medical certificate needed for your case.
EU and EEA licences generally have different rules from licences issued elsewhere. A controlled driving test is required in some cases; exemptions depend on the issuing country and other conditions.
Check your right to drive in Denmark separately from the exchange application. Do not assume every foreign licence must be exchanged within the same deadline.
When your test requirement and booking are confirmed, you can book an instructor and car here.
